Color Crush: Primary Marine Life

Some of the best creative inspiration happens when we step away from our screens and experience the world around us.

One of the things we love most about design is discovering inspiration in unexpected places. Sometimes it's architecture, a beautiful landscape, or a tiny detail that catches our eye. And sometimes, it's 50 feet below the ocean's surface.

On a recent adventure, we had the incredible opportunity to swim alongside whale sharks, explore vibrant coral reefs, and experience the colorful world beneath the waves. Electric blues. Brilliant yellows. Pops of coral red. Deep ocean navy. A bold, beautiful mix of colors that only Mother Nature could pull off.

And just like that, a new Color Crush was born.

Primary Marine Life is inspired by the extraordinary colors, creatures, and quiet wonder of the underwater world.

As brand designers, we spend a lot of time thinking about color—how it creates emotion, influences perception, establishes personality, and helps tell a brand's story. But nature has a beautiful way of reminding us that some of the most inspiring color combinations already exist all around us.

It's one of the reasons we believe curiosity is such an important part of the creative process. Getting outside, exploring new places, experiencing different perspectives, and taking the time to notice the little things all have a way of shaping how we see the world—and ultimately, how we design.

That's the inspiration behind Color Crush, our ongoing series celebrating the colors we discover out in the wild and the creative ideas they spark along the way.

Because sometimes the best thing we can do for our creativity is simply make a little room for adventure. And let's be honest, Mother Nature is one pretty incredible Creative Director.
